Services are available to those guests attending the college ceremony and General Assembly who may require specific accommodations based on disability. These services vary depending upon the specific venue location.
Those with need of these services are asked to please notify the University Registrar's office no later than fourteen (14) days in advance of commencement.
Sign language interpreting services for guest who are deaf or hard of hearing will be available by request.
Limited Mobility Accommodations
A reserved seating section for those requiring a wheelchair seating or whom have limited mobility will be available at each venue. These areas are marked with signage. A University Commencement Representative will be happy to assist families/guest in need of such seating arrangements.
Due to high demand and limited space, the reserved seating area is restricted to the person with need and one guest. Additional members of your party are asked to sit in the open seating areas.
Trained service animals that are assisting individuals with disabilities are welcome at Commencement. Service animals and their handlers must comply with the University Animal Policy.
Emotional Support Animals
Emotional support animals are not considered service animals and are not permitted at Commencement. Learn more about emotional support animal and service animal requirements in the University Animal Policy.
