Outstanding Graduates

Each semester, the UL Lafayette Alumni Association honors the University’s outstanding Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates. One undergraduate degree candidate is selected to represent each of UL Lafayette’s eight colleges. They are selected by their respective deans and other faculty for their accomplishments. All are recognized during Commencement Ceremonies. One master’s degree candidate is nominated by each graduate program, based on leadership, scholarship, service, and research.

One undergraduate and one graduate candidate receive the UL Lafayette Alumni Association’s Outstanding Graduate Award, sponsored by Cox Communications, which recognizes an outstanding graduate for his or her commitment to the University and to community service. The Alumni Association Awards Committee selects the award recipient.
